We are recruiting a Head of the Police National Legal Database (PNLD). This is a rare opportunity to lead a nationally respected organisation that provides essential legal information and products to police officers, legal professionals and criminal justice partners.
- Salary: £70,575 - £75,180 per annum
- Full-time permanent post
- Location: Wakefield (Hybrid Working)
In this role you will set the strategic direction for PNLD. You will lead national strategies, business plans and programmes of work that deliver excellence and create value for policing and wider stakeholders. You will manage all business and operational activity including contracts, risk, ISO compliance, information management and financial planning.
You will hold overall accountability for PNLD’s legal content including the national Standard Offence Wordings. You will provide senior leaders across policing with authoritative advice on criminal law and PNLD’s legal, technical and business services.
You will champion innovation and continuous improvement. You will identify new opportunities, strengthen PNLD’s national presence and build effective partnerships across policing and the criminal justice sector.
We are looking for an influential, adaptable leader with substantial knowledge of criminal law and extensive experience of policing. A degree in Law, Business, Criminal Justice or an equivalent qualification, alongside substantial knowledge of criminal law and its application in policing.
