As part of our #SignUpToPNLD campaign Chief Superintendent Raj Kohli of the Metropolitan Police Service kindly shared his views on how our legal database is invaluable in his role.
In one of his roles as Senior Public Order Commander, Chief Superintendent Kohli stated "One of the activities I always make sure I undertake is checking PNLD's legal database, whenever I'm planning or running an event.
It really is a repository of all things practical around understanding the law and delivering the law, making sure that when we police, we police proportionately, legitimately and of course legally."
Our legal database clarifies this by providing clear explanations and guidance on the law, all written in plain English to ensure the information can be readily understood and quickly assimilated. The helpful guidance notes and hyperlinks to useful legal definitions also aid ease of use.
Chief Superintendent Kohli added that “I say to all my probation officers that I meet, PNLD will be your friend, whenever you use it”.
In an effort to improve knowledge of the law and share vital legal updates and news with our policing family, PNLD is providing, free personal access to its legal database for all police officers, staff and volunteers at no cost to the individual.
This will provide you with full, unlimited access to our legal database via any personal or force device.
