Domestic Abuse Act 2021 - further provisions in force

The Domestic Abuse Act 2021 (Commencement No. 2) Regulations 2021 bring in force the following sections of the Domestic Abuse Act 2021 from 1st October 2021:

section 1 - the definition of 'domestic abuse' is fully in force.

section 2 - the definition of 'personally connected' is fully in force.

section 3 - this section makes provision in relation to children as victims of domestic abuse and is partially brought in force for the purposes of sections 57, 58, 59, 60, 61 and 63 of the Act.

section 63 - special measures for victims of domestic abuse in family proceedings.

sections 57, 58, 59, 60, 61 - local authority support for victims of domestic abuse.

section 80 - prohibition on charging for the provision of medical evidence of domestic abuse.
