Amendments to the Health Protection (Coronavirus Restrictions) (Wales) Regulations 2020

11 May 2020

Amendments to the Health Protection (Coronavirus, Restrictions) (Wales) Regulations 2020, made by the Health Protection (Coronavirus, Restrictions) (Wales) (Amendment) (No 3) Regulations 2020, came in force at 4pm on 11th May 2020.

This SI amends regulation 3 to ensure that any changes made to the rules in this Regulation are made by amendments to the Regulation, and not by issuing a direction.

It adds further 'reasonable excuses' to regulation 8 in relation to collecting goods ordered online, by telephone or post; accessing waste disposal services; and visiting libraries.

It also amends the reasonable excuse in relation to exercise, by removing the 'once per day' limit but restricting exercise to the area local to the place where a person lives. Garden centres and plant nurseries, and libraries, have been added to the list of businesses in Part 4 of Schedule 1, which are permitted to open.

Please see SI 2020/497 for full details of the amendments.

The legal database has been updated with the changes.
