Amended: Health Protection (Coronavirus, International Travel) (England) Regulations 2020

The Health Protection (Coronavirus, International Travel) (England) Regulations 2020 are amended from 0400 Saturday 29 August 2020. All persons arriving in England from outside the common travel area are required to provide the address or addresses at which they will stay during the first 14 full days following their arrival in the United Kingdom.

The Health Protection (Coronavirus, Wearing of Face Coverings in a Relevant Place) (England) Regulations 2020 and the Health Protection (Coronavirus, Wearing of Face Coverings on Public Transport) (England) Regulations 2020 are amended from Friday 28 August 2020 so that when a person is issued with a fixed penalty notice under them, any relevant fixed penalty notices already issued to that person must be taken into account when determining the amount of the fixed penalty that can be imposed.

The Health Protection (Coronavirus, Restrictions) (No. 2) (England) Regulations 2020 are amended from Friday 28 August 2020. The amendments impose restrictions on the holding of gatherings, both inside and outside, of more than 30 people (see regulations 5A and 5B). It is an offence to contravene, without reasonable excuse, any of these restrictions. A fixed penalty notice of £10,000 can be issued to any person aged 18 or over, who is reasonably believed to have committed such an offence.
