Coronavirus Regulations Extensions & Amendments

The following Regulations are amended from 11.55pm on 20 June 2021; extending the Regulations so that the restrictions provided by them are now due to expire on 18th July 2021. In addition, the Health Protection (Coronavirus, Restrictions) (Steps) (England) Regulations 2021 are amended to remove most limits on the numbers who may attend a wedding, a reception for a wedding or a commemorative event following a person’s death.

The Health Protection (Coronavirus, Restrictions) (Obligations of Undertakings) (England) Regulations 2020 are amended from 17 May 2021 to clarify the obligations of undertakings under regulation 2 of those Regulations. A person responsible for carrying on a business of a public house, café, restaurant or other relevant business must take all reasonable measures to ensure that an appropriate distance is maintained between tables occupied by persons.
