06 January 2021The Health Protection (Coronavirus, Restrictions) (All Tiers) (England) Regulations 2020 provide the restrictions that apply to each Tier within England, for example, in relation to travel, gatherings and businesses. These Regulations have been amended to strengthen the Tier 4 restrictions and move every area in England into that Tier.
06 January 2021The Health Protection (Coronavirus, Restrictions) (England) (No. 3) Regulations 2020 make provision for a local authority to give directions relating to premises, events and public outdoor places in its area. These Regulations have been amended from 6 January 2021, to clarify the powers of a police community support officer.
22 December 2020The Health Protection (Coronavirus, Travel from South Africa) (England) Regulations 2020 in force from 9pm on 23rd December, other than regulation 2 which is in force from 9am on 24th December and prohibit the arrival in England of aircraft travelling directly from South Africa.
20 December 2020The Health Protection (Coronavirus Restrictions) (No. 5) (Wales) Regulations 2020 are in force from Sunday 20 December and revoke and replace the Health Protection (Coronavirus Restrictions) (No. 4) (Wales) Regulations 2020.
14 December 2020Regulation 3 is amended to provide that where an individual has been notified of a requirement to self-isolate, due to being in close contact of a person who has tested positive for Coronavirus, the period of self-isolation is 10 days (lowered from 14 days).
14 December 2020The requirement to self-isolate applies to a person who has departed from or transited through a non-exempt country or territory within the period beginning with the 10th day before the date of their arrival in England (lowered from 14th day) (see regulation 4).
